Information on the update 1.6.2025

2. June 2025

New in the update: project-uniform colors, real two-dimensional cost analysis, 80% supplement regulation, improved links for external access.

The new color coding in tables

With the May 2025 update, the color coding for table rows was also integrated into the PDF outputs of the respective table views.

The color markings now also have project-specific legends .

You can now use a uniform and consistent color palette for all tables in your project

You can insert this palette with colors and texts as a legend in the PDF output.

The cost analysis becomes truly “two-dimensional”

In NOVA AVA, service items can be linked to various catalogs and structured, e.g. according to DIN 276 and service areas (LB). Some time ago, we improved the output of the specifications by allowing the service items to be sorted and grouped using these catalogs.

And from now on, the complete cost analysis of a project can also be set up simultaneously according to two different catalogs, i.e. according to two dimensions.

80% rule implemented for disputed supplements

Even if the amount of remuneration for a supplement is still disputed, the contractor can already invoice 80% of the work performed. Until now, this could only be simulated via the “fictitious” release of the addendum.

We have now implemented the 80% rule. Supplements can now be marked as “disputed”. Such supplements can also be invoiced without explicit approval. The service provided is then remunerated at 80%.

In the table view, the abbreviation “VOB80%” is displayed in an item with an 80% rule.
And this is what it looks like in the PDF.

Invitation links now with adjustable validity period

You can grant team members or external partners access to certain data via an invitation with a link.

  • The “Activation link” invites “NOVA AVA users” to set their password and log in to NOVA AVA.
  • With the “access link” (as an alternative to sending a password) you invite bidders to submit bids or contractors to record measurements digitally.

The links for “activation” or “access” were previously valid for exactly 10 minutes. This was sometimes too short.

Now you can set the validity period yourself.

Bugs have to go. And improvements in.

Cost analysis module

When “deactivating” LVs in the LV-based cost analysis, the LVs are now completely removed from the table again and not just set to 0€.

From now on, the LV areas can optionally be shown or hidden in the LV-based cost analysis

Special characters in the names of contractors are now displayed correctly. The designation of the PDF file per issue in net or gross has been adjusted.

Cost planning module

If a cost plan, e.g. according to DIN276, was generated from a cost plan according to BIM, it was previously not possible to change the transferred items. From now on, the item references can be removed.

The printout of the compilation of cost groups has been further improved. Unwanted breaks for higher euro amounts are now avoided thanks to the adjustments made.

Corrections have been made to the transfer of cost plans for newer model versions with regard to STLB construction items with text additions and to the STLB construction update.
