Anyone who creates a Bill of Quantities (BOQ) often wants to make use of previous versions. With NOVA AVA, you can import existing specifications via GAEB, ÖNORM A 2063 or as an Excel file and use them as templates for your new projects.
You can search for new tender texts in common text systems such as STLB-BAU, DBD-BIM, BKI or Heinze and transfer them directly into the NOVA AVA software. To use this option, you will need paid access to most providers.
More about tender textsNo other AVA software offers you this: Create a well-founded Bill of Quantities with the collective knowledge of the NOVA AVA user community. Access all BOQ items that have ever been awarded, i.e. actually commissioned, with NOVA AVA. This huge data pool comprises millions of item texts with real market prices. It is exclusively available to you as a NOVA AVA customer – at no additional cost and in full compliance with data protection regulations: only individual items can be searched; the BOQ specifications of NOVA customers remain protected.
More about the SmartPoolMany service items (e.g. typical shell construction work) recur repeatedly in different projects. You can take advantage of this by setting up and maintaining a master bill of quantities. From there, you only need to transfer the required items to your tender specifications in read-only mode. And the best thing is: if you proceed in this way, a useful price memory will be built up for the items in your master service specifications – fed with the prices from your tender specifications.
Tender texts without quantities are only half the battle. NOVA AVA supports you in determining the quantities for the service items:
Determine the quantity using the formula editor. Similar to Excel, the formula is saved as a calculation approach. The REB 23.003 formula collection is included in NOVA AVA.
Calculation approaches can contain references to other service items. This means that if a certain quantity is calculated for one item, the quantities of other items can also be calculated – for example, the quantity for painting or the length of the skirting board with the area of the wall.
You can add texts and comments to the calculation approaches. This ensures comprehensibility.
With NOVA AVA, you can assign service items to specific cost groups or cost units. You can also divide up the quantities (later costs), for example to different carriers of the construction project. This is either done on a percentage basis. Or you can define this specifically when determining the quantities with the calculation approach.
With NOVA AVA, all operations are quick and easy:
Different processing statuses can be saved in the system using the archiving function and reset if required.
A Bill of Quantities created with NOVA AVA is impressive: It is clearly laid out, structured with up to 5 levels and numbered consecutively with ordinal numbers. It can carry your logo if you wish and can be adapted to your requirements in terms of font and font size. All GAEB XML certified – with everything you need:
Use NOVA AVA to check your Bill of Quantities while you are still working on it – and then put it through its paces before you hand it over. For a quick check “in between”, you can output the BOQ at any time in exactly the same form as it is currently displayed on the screen.
NOVA AVA checks for you before forwarding:
From the test report, you can go directly from “Error/warning” to the relevant items and make corrections there.
Once your Bill of Quantities has been created and checked, you can choose between different output formats:
Once work phase 6 and thus the preparation of the awarding process and tendering have been completed, work phase 7 involves obtaining offers. NOVA AVA supports you in this with the “Tendering and awarding” function. You can find out how to work with it here.
