Tendering and awarding

NOVA AVA is a comprehensive tendering platform. You can use the “Tender and award” function to obtain offers, communicate with bidders, create price comparison lists and prepare your award.

Post directly online

Your selected bidding companies can enter their bids directly in NOVA AVA. Until the submission deadline, they can enter, check and approve the bids for you in the password-protected area – without any additional software. This is quick and easy, not least for your bidders.

Less effort for everyone

As the bidders process their tenders directly online, a lot of work is eliminated for you: you no longer have to type out tenders or create and send GAEB or ÖNORM files. This saves you time and avoids transmission errors. Of course, you can also work with NOVA AVA in the traditional way using GAEB, ÖNORM or PDF and prepare specifications for tenders on public platforms.

All information at a glance

  • With NOVA AVA, you can clearly bundle and conveniently coordinate all tender information, e.g.
  • What deadlines must be met?
  • Who takes part in the procedure?
  • Which contract-relevant and supplementary documents and plans must be observed?
  • What is communicated with the companies?

It’s that simple

Tendering via the NOVA AVA tender cockpit – it couldn’t be easier or faster. You will receive the best offer for every trade:

You select the suitable providers in your address book – NOVA AVA sends a message to the selected companies.

  • Bidders will receive an invitation to participate by e-mail, a link with personal access data to BOQ and the documents you have approved. Access is only possible for the bidder for this tender and only within the time period you have selected.
  • While the bidders are processing the tender, you can see the tender status in the tender overview, e.g. processing started, tender approved, participation rejected, etc. If a bidder has any queries, you will be notified. Your responses are documented in NOVA AVA in an audit-proof manner and in compliance with procurement law.
  • Once the submission date has passed, you will see the prices of all bids that the bidders have approved. You can optionally set the bid opening to the dual control principle. In this case, the bids can only be viewed once two authorized users have authenticated themselves.

Compare offers in the price comparison list

You can view and compare the offers that have arrived in the price comparison list. Quotations submitted via the platform are automatically available as soon as they are approved. Other quotes that you have received as ÖNORM or GAEB files must be imported into the price comparison list and the quotes in paper form must be entered manually. Total amounts and sums are calculated automatically.

You can also display your own cost calculation in the price comparison list for comparison with the offers. NOVA AVA also automatically creates these evaluations for you::

  • Ideal price: the most favorable offer price per item
  • Mean price: the arithmetic mean of all offer prices per item
  • Median price: the median for each item (adjusted for outliers).

This information is particularly valuable for your tender proposal and price negotiations. With NOVA AVA, you get it at the touch of a button.

Identify outliers

Where are the black sheep, the outliers? NOVA AVA helps you to find them. You can use evaluations of high price deviations or the ABC method to find speculative prices or dummy prices.

Check variants

If you have tendered different execution variants (alternative/contingent services in the bill of quantities), the variant calculation in NOVA AVA supports you. At the touch of a button, you can see which tender variant is the cheapest. Simply activate alternative and contingency items in the price comparison list – the corresponding calculated quotation variants and evaluations are displayed immediately and can be compared.

And what happens next?

To summarize: With NOVA AVA, you have tenders (online and traditional), price comparison lists and bid analyses under control – for your award negotiations, award recommendation through to the cost estimate and the actual award (contract award).

Once the contract has been awarded, construction invoicing, supplement management, construction cost monitoring and cost determination begin with service phase 8. The next NOVA AVA functions are available for this: keyword “Billing”. You can find out how to work with it here.
