NOVA AVA Online Webinars – Here’s What They Cover:

NOVA AVA Online Webinars, November 2026: From the Dashboard to Cost Planning to the Bill of Quantities:

In this webinar, you start on the dashboard and first get an overview: Where can I configure my dashboard, my profile, how do I open certain program areas, etc.?

You will then learn how to create and manage projects, Bill of Quantities and documents.

Next, you’ll create a cost plan or cost estimate for a project (e.g., in accordance with DIN 276), learn how to populate this cost estimate according to service phases LPH 2 through LPH 5 as defined by HOAI, and discover how to generate one or more Bills of Quantities from this cost estimate. In the process, you’ll also learn how to create your own (e.g., in-house) catalogs or cost groups and how to define key data and project variables.

Next, we’ll show you how to quickly create a cost estimate using reference or comparable projects.

Another topic in this webinar is the GAEB regulations: What formats and what exchange phases do these regulations offer and what do you need to pay attention to when using the GAEB standards.

NOVA AVA Online Webinars November 2026: BIM – From the IFC Model to Cost Planning to the BOQ

In this BIM webinar, you’ll open an IFC model that has already been imported and first explore the features available in the 3D viewer (components, filters, tickets, and BCF, viewer tools). You’ll then create a cost plan based on this model and populate it with sample data. The focus here is specifically on how to add line items from various text storage systems to the components, save these assignments as cost elements, and automatically synchronize components of the same type.

Afterward, you’ll learn how to edit different new versions of a 3D model so that the component selections you’ve already made aren’t lost.

Finally, you will use this cost plan to first generate a cost estimate in accordance with DIN (based on service phases LPH 2 through LPH 5 of the HOAI) and then create the Bill of Quantities organized by trade (in accordance with service phase LPH 6 of the HOAI).

In the last part of the webinar, you will learn how you can access a 3D model directly in (any) Bill of Quantities and transfer the quantities for the items individually – or fully automatically with the 3D Quantity Connector.

NOVA AVA Online Webinars, November 2026: Creating and Editing a Bill of Quantities

In this webinar, you will create a new, blank Bill of Quantities and populate it with content in accordance with Service Phase LPH 6 of the HOAI.

You will learn about the various forms of description (standard items, preliminary remarks, notes, etc.) and text storage systems (Smart Pool, STLB-Bau, Heinze, etc.) as well as how to copy items from existing (master) specifications.

You then get an overview of the element properties: Where can you set the VAT rate, what options are available for long text editing, how can you change the attributes (contingent, basic, alternative items, etc.), etc.

You will then be introduced to the additional functions in the Extras menu.

Another topic will be price maintenance: How can you update BOQ estimated prices via the price list.

Towards the end of the webinar, you will renumber the BOQ, check for formal errors and output the BOQ as a PDF or GAEB file and learn about the respective output options.

In this webinar, you’ll also learn about the GAEB regulations: what formats and exchange phases these regulations provide, and what you need to keep in mind when applying the GAEB standards.

You’ll finish the webinar with the Print Designer. In the Print Designer, you can edit the cover page, header, and footer.

NOVA AVA Online Webinars, November 2026: Request for Proposals, Price Comparisons, and Contract Award

This webinar is of interest to anyone who, in accordance with LPH 7 of the HOAI (participation in the awarding of contracts), solicits bids based on Bill of Quantities, evaluates them, and prepares the BOQ.

You’ll start with an overview and learn about the different ways to request bids. You’ll also learn about the GAEB regulations and the exchange phases in the procurement process.

You will then use NOVA’s internal tender interface to invite bidders to submit bids directly (including tender documents, a list of questions, and configuration options).

After inviting the bidders, you take a look at how the bidders submit their bids.

In the next part, you will first learn how to add further bidders to the price comparison list manually or via GAEB import.

You will then evaluate the bids (variant calculation, outliers, ABC method). In the last part of the webinar, you will create and output the order BOQ.

NOVA AVA Online Webinars, November 2026: Quantity Surveys, Billing, Change Orders, Cost Analysis

A webinar for anyone who processes construction billing in NOVA in accordance with service phases LPH 8 and LPH 9 of the HOAI (project supervision—construction supervision and documentation, project management).

You start with a commissioned Bill of Quantities and first add the order conditions (retentions, order number, exemption certificate, etc.).

Next, we’ll move on to processing the measurements: Here, you’ll learn about the options available for manual measurement data entry and what you need to know and keep in mind when doing so, how to import measurement data, how to have the contractor perform the measurement data entry and approve the measurements, and how the NOVA Measurement App works.

Once the measurements have been processed, the next step is invoicing. Here you first look at the target/actual comparison, recognize quantity overruns and receive an overview of the expected quantity and cost development.

You will then find out which invoice types are available and how you can create, modify, issue and release them.

We then move on to addendum management. We will show you how to create, edit and manage supplements.

You will conclude this webinar with the cost analysis. The cost analysis shows you the cost overview from cost planning to the current performance status, including a forecast and a self-defined evaluation.
