At digitalBAU 2026, the motto is “NOVA goes AI”. With NEO, we will be presenting an AI integration for NOVA AVA for the first time.
As is our custom, we don’t want to jump on just any bandwagon – we want to set new standards. To this end, we are seeking an intensive exchange with NOVA AVA users.
Fully integrated AI solution for broad use
Many software manufacturers are already integrating AI tools. However, these are often small assistants for limited individual applications. At NOVA, we want to go one step further right from the start and offer an AI solution that can be used across the entire software and its functions. Right up to the ability to operate the software and thus relieve the user of complete work steps. Their name: NEO.
NEO will perform the following tasks as of today:
Inform
Whatever I’m currently interested in with my projects – NEO quickly finds it out for me. For example:
- How many windows of which type are included in Bill of Quantities Z? How many tons of steel are to be used?
- Is price X for service item Y realistic?
- Is the service text VOB-compliant?
- Which products match the service text?
Create and check texts
NEO supports me in this,
- Generate and / or complete professional texts via keyword input or dictation function
- Generate texts, e.g. for an e-mail, from a context
- Evaluate content and images and summarize them for a deficiency analysis, for example
- Check texts for plausibility
Perform tasks
NEO will also actively support me in my work with NOVA AVA, for example with tasks such as
- create a new project including elements in dialog mode and then be available for the creation of further elements
- Import a GAEB file into a project
- Assign DIN 276 cost groups to the individual service items
- Enrich service items with unit prices
- Recognize a defect in an image file and create a ticket
In-house developed AI hub for maximum data security
When developing our AI solution, there was one non-negotiable goal from the outset: control over the data and data protection in accordance with the GDPR must be fully guaranteed. That’s why we decided to develop our own AI hub based on a powerful open source language model. This means that our users retain full control over the data, no AI company can access data, and project data and knowledge never leave our cloud server in Frankfurt.
Developers and users in dialog – at digitalBAU 2026
NEO is currently in the alpha phase. For us, this is an early and good time to talk to those who will be working with our AI solution: our customers and users.
To this end, our developers will present NEO at digitalBAU (24-26.3.26 in Cologne) – and then enter into direct discussions with users. In this way, the feedback and wishes of practitioners will flow directly into our further development work.
We want to start the beta phase just a few weeks later. And in the course of 2026, the final version of NEO will be firmly integrated into the software and fully operational.
